Welcoming Don Fox to Propared

By September 8, 2026No Comments

We’re excited to share that longtime Propared customer and performing arts production leader Don Fox is joining us this September to help shape the next stage of Propared’s North American operations and customer experience.

And when we say longtime customer, we mean it.

Don has been using Propared professionally since 2018, when he joined the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs as Production Manager and helped bring the new Ent Center for the Arts to life. With six venues and a constant mix of productions, events, people, and changing schedules, Propared became an important part of how he managed the work.

Since then, Don has continued to use, configure, teach, and occasionally find entirely new ways to use Propared. Many members of our community may already know him from USITT, LDI, or PLASA, where he has helped us demonstrate the platform and talk with other production professionals about how they manage their work.

That history is a big part of why we’re so excited to have him working with us.

Bringing the customer perspective inside

Propared has always been built in close conversation with the people doing the work.

Our customers are production managers, technical directors, designers, venue managers, educators, producers, and operations teams. They’re managing changing schedules, limited resources, multiple venues, overlapping productions, and an enormous amount of information that has to get to the right people at the right time.

Don knows that work because he’s spent his career doing it.

His experience spans performing arts venues, touring productions, educational organizations, regional theatre, design, and the opening of new cultural facilities. Most recently, he has served as Director of Performing Arts Operations and Resources for the Central Kitsap School District in Washington State, helping launch and operate the district’s performing arts facilities.

Just as importantly, he knows what it’s like to be a Propared customer.

As Don begins working with us, he’ll focus on our U.S. and Canadian customer experience and operations—talking with customers, identifying needs, strengthening support, and helping us think about the systems and relationships Propared needs for its next stage of growth.

Growing without losing what matters

This is an important moment for Propared.

As we build our new European operations through Propared ApS in Copenhagen, we’re also investing in the community that has helped build Propared over the past decade.

Growth gives us the opportunity to do more, but we want to make sure that as Propared grows, we stay closely connected to the realities of production work.

Bringing someone like Don into that process is one way we’re doing that.

He understands what happens backstage, in production offices and shops, during the opening of a new venue, and when the schedule everyone carefully planned suddenly changes.

In other words, he understands our customers.

We’re thrilled to have him with us.

Welcome to Propared, Don.
